Drewit Studios
Drewit Studios are a creative company centred around but not limited to set design. Founded by Camille Hewitt and John Driscoll, they describe themselves as creative storytellers, using set design, photography and film to deliver engaging creative results.
The staff at Drewit Studios have been working in the creative industry for over 10 years combined. Camille comes from a photography background (Camille Hewitt Creative) and John (Ginger Maker) comes from a background in carpentry and bespoke furniture. Both of these former experiences mesh together really well within the set design industry. They met over a year ago and have been working together and collaborating as good friends and as creatives since then. The two initially bonded over their love for stop-motion animation, music tastes, Star Wars and storytelling.
Drewit Studios started in January 2022 and the team are looking forward to seeing how their company and partnership will shift and grow. They have worked on a vast array of projects together - building a set for a former Bond girl to working with an NFT company by re-skinning a bar into a laboratory run by apes, creating colourful sets and photoshoots for Nikon, and being the creative lead and set designers for Leeds City of Culture 2023's exhibition "Waking the Artist". Drewit hope for opportunities to collaborate with talented creatives and incredible brands with creative visions, and to work in new places to expand into more engaging storytelling in the future.
Camille has had a studio at LCVS Enterprises for over 3 years and thoroughly enjoys the welcoming and collaborative environment amongst kind and talented people. It provides an incredible space and Drewit Studios believes that they wouldn't be able to do the work that they do, without it.
