Little Motel are a boutique motion and animation studio. They help forward-thinking brands to make a positive impact with their communications through unique, characterful animation and motion design. They forge strong partnerships with brands, charities and agencies, who rely on Little Motel to tell the stories that are important to them and their audience.
The business was founded in 2015 by animation duo Matt and Leigh, with a simple vision of creating a place where people are happy working and feel valued. They are small by design. That means the whole team are animation specialists who love what they do and take great pride in every project, down to the finest detail and final flourish.
Their passionate team that has decades of experience in animation and motion graphics. Before Little Motel, the collective team had worked all over the place, including full-service agencies, educational communication and broadcast TV. With diverse experiences, Little Motel create quality work for clients by pushing their skills and experimenting with new styles and techniques.
Little Motel has grown from two founders who started the business animating on a kitchen table, to their current team of five. Now, they guide clients through the whole creative process. As well as design and animation, they take care of everything from creative development and scripting to sound mix and delivery, taking the time to understand clients’ briefs and collaborate with them to develop an approach tailored to their needs. This means that they always deliver carefully crafted motion that’s on spec, schedule and budget, all while delighting audiences and stakeholders alike.

They plan to establish Little Motel as the go-to place for motion design and animation in the region and beyond, offering increased access to high quality motion and animation for customers big and small.
Little Motel first heard about LCVS Enterprises through people they knew in the building who spoke highly of LCVS. They were impressed with the facilities when they visited. This and the great location made it an easy choice for them to relocate their office to Dock Street. The business’ clients enjoy how close they are to the city centre as it makes it easy to arrange meetings and grow new contacts both within Dock Street and in the Leeds region beyond.
