Studio Sol
Eliza Evans is a jeweller running a traditional silversmithing business selling bespoke and ready-to-wear jewellery in recycled silver and gold. Eliza graduated from university in 2022 with a degree in Classics and French. She first began to create jewellery in a class during a foundation year in 2019; she has been self taught ever since!
Eliza’s business has evolved from working from a bedroom desk using brass to now working in solid silver and gold. She has her own hallmark, is setting up her own website, occupying a studio space, regularly exhibiting in galleries, and won a business scholarship.
Eliza plans to grow her business to the point where she can support herself completely independently through the jewellery practice. She hopes to stock Studio Sol in at least five high-end jewellery galleries in the next eighteen months. Eliza would also like to be in a position where she can train and employ other silversmiths to work with her.
LCVS Enterprises has meant a lot to Studio Sol. Eliza first heard about them through Hannah Stokes, who she met at a business event. This has allowed her to purchase and use specialist heavy equipment, professionalise her business, run workshops, and improve both her creativity and mental health. Eliza has also met some incredible independent businesses at Aire Street, who have really informed her practice.
